A moment of silence for all humans touched by violence

How will we stop the violence?

A moment of silence for those dead in France, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, the US and anywhere else state-sponsored violence occurs regularly

Jane Austin was able to shut the windows to the grim war outside her window when writing her masterpieces. I am not able to write masterpieces, nor am I able to shut my eyes to the horrors out there. I have traveled the world too much and made friends with too many people from too many different cultures to sit quietly while the world goes to war. I hate violence. I hate war. I hate jails. Something has to change. This has become totally unacceptable.

I’m taking a quick break from porn and erotica to offer my condolences to everyone who has been touched by the tragedy of violent death. I don’t give a fuck if you’re Muslim, Buddhist, Mayan, Baptist, Jedi or Sith violence is a horrible part of this fucked up world we live in. We have advanced as a society in so many ways, especially technologically, but our base barbarianism hasn’t changed at all. Can’t we all just fuck and love and get along? Maybe our rapid advances are the problem. Now we have caches of nuclear weapons, stealth bombers, and drones, but don’t seem to have no hard drive to store the consistent common sense to manage such awesome weapons.

This is my moment of silence for what the current Pope calls the “Piecemeal Third World War”.
